Production and quality protocol

The same protocol governs an order on our own lines and an order placed with a partner mill. This is the sequence every order follows, the inspection regime applied to it, and what happens contractually when a lot does not conform.

Workflow

Six stages, each with a named owner

Durations are working days and are confirmed per programme at quotation. Bulk production does not begin until the pre-production sample is approved in writing.

  1. 01

    Enquiry and costing

We review the tech pack, resolve open construction questions and return a costed bill of materials with a firm production and shipping window.

    3–5 days

    Client services

  2. 02

    Vendor and material qualification

Fabric, yarn and trim are selected and physically tested — or your nominated supplier is audited and approved before any order is placed.

    5–10 days

    Sourcing · QA

  3. 03

    Sampling and approval

Proto, fit and pre-production samples are produced and signed off in sequence. Bulk does not start until the PP sample is approved in writing.

    10–15 days

    Product development

  4. 04

    Production and in-line inspection

The run is scheduled against a named line — ours or a qualified partner's — with weekly output reporting and inspection at defined checkpoints.

    25–45 days

    Production

  5. 05

    Final inspection and documentation

Final random inspection to AQL 2.5, then the export pack: invoice, packing list, origin certificate and any conformity documentation the market needs.

    2–4 days

    Quality · Trade compliance

  6. 06

    Export, customs and delivery

Consolidation, booking, customs clearance and freight under your elected Incoterm, with tracking issued at departure and clearance handled at destination under DDP.

Capacity by site

Allocation is committed against a named line before a delivery date is confirmed. Utilisation is reported so schedule risk surfaces before it becomes a delay.

Quality

Inspection regime

Inspection is a gate at each stage, governed by ISO 2859-1 at AQL 2.5. Non-conforming lots are reworked or replaced — they are not shipped and discounted.

AQL 2.5 in-line and final random inspection
Lot-level material traceability, retained 7 years
Needle and broken-metal detection, 100% of output
Tensile, rub, seam-slippage and colourfastness testing
Restricted substance testing against REACH SVHC
Pre-production sample approval in writing before bulk
Unannounced third-party audit access by contract
Non-conformance reporting within 24 hours

Non-conformance

What happens when a lot fails

The measure of a supplier is not the pass rate. It is the documented, time-bound sequence that runs when the pass rate is missed.

Non-conformance report
Issued within 24 hours of detection
Corrective action plan
Within 3 working days, client-approved
Rework or replacement
At Attire Services cost, schedule protected
Root cause review
8D methodology, closed in writing

Attire Services carries the liability in every engagement model, including goods bought from a partner mill — because in that model we hold the vendor contract as principal rather than introducing you to it.

Export

Out of the factory, into the market

Finished goods are packed, documented and shipped by the same entity that bought or made them, so the paperwork always matches the carton.

Audit

Certification and audit access

Unannounced access to any Attire Services site during production hours is written into our standard terms, for your staff and for third-party inspection bodies. The same right is contracted into our partner mill agreements.
