Position

Principal, not intermediary

Attire Services was incorporated in 2004 as an apparel buying agency in Rotterdam. The operating premise has not changed since: the party a brand contracts with should be the party that buys the goods, because that is the only party that can be held to a specification.

Twenty years on the group runs two production sites, two sourcing offices and two commercial offices, employing 1,570 people directly. We buy as principal across a network of 220+ qualified mills — we do not introduce clients to suppliers and step back from the liability. Where a programme needs capacity we control outright, it runs on our own thirty lines.

The company is privately held by its founder and management. It carries no external investment mandate, which is why capacity and vendor decisions are made against programme commitments rather than against a growth target.

History

Operating history

Capability has been added by opening offices, acquiring sites and taking documentation in-house — not by subcontracting under the group name.

Principles

How the company is run

01

Accountability

We hold the liability we ask clients to rely on. No undisclosed subcontracting, and no deflection when a lot fails.

02

Schedule integrity

Capacity is committed against a named line before a date is confirmed. 97.8% of shipments departed on or before the confirmed ETD in the last twelve months.

03

Jurisdictional fluency

Customs, conformity marking and chemical regulation differ by market. We administer those obligations rather than passing them back to the client.

04

Verified responsibility

OEKO-TEX and GOTS certified textiles, amfori BSCI social compliance and audited labour standards — evidenced by certificate, not by claim.

Leadership

Accountable officers

Named leads for the functions a client escalates to. Direct contact details are issued with the vendor onboarding pack.
